Partypoker: review of the room, freerolls and bonuses

Players pay a certain amount to the poker room for each handout, which depends on the number of opponents at the table, the types and limits of the game. The rake scheme in cash games is as follows:

Rake is calculated proportionally to your deposit into bank. The rake is paid when you got cards distributed, made a deposit into the bank and the bank is large enough for your share of the rake from it to be at least $0.01.

In tournaments rake is paid from the buy-in (5-20% of it), however, the most common commission is 10% of the entry amount. In games like Spins the rake is automatically generated, considering that in the absolute majority of cases the prize pool is equal to 2 buy-ins out of 3 (rare cases of bigger rewards do not affect this — the poker room has its share of profit anyway).

Cash

The buy-in is between $1 and $20,000, and the size of the blinds is $0.01/0.02 — $200/400. You can filter tables by range of buy-ins, type of game and number of seats. The highest limit with 24/7 action is “fastforward100”. Types of poker to play with cash:

• No limit holdem;
• Omaha;
• Shortdeck;
• Limit holdem.

Tournaments

The number of simultaneously held tournaments often exceeds 100, so it is most convenient to sort them by:

• Range of buy-ins – super-micro, micro, low, medium, high $0.55 — $50,000;
• Format – Re-buy, Repeat participation, Knock-out, mix and others;
• Speed — slow, normal, fast, turbo, hyper-turbo.

The tournament program is quite intense, which allows players with limits up to average play exclusively with no need to add other rooms to their schedule.

Some tournaments have options of late registration, buying more playchips, re-buy or re-entry. The menu of each competition contains all the necessary information about it, including the number of tables, payouts, structure and a brief summary of its parameters.

Other types of games

Cash games and tournaments are not the only kinds of poker games at PartyPoker, you can play other kinds of poker here:

• Sit&Go — 1, 2 and 3 table tournaments in different modes, for example, with awards for knock-out, division of the prize pool between half of the players and not only. The buy-ins range from $1 to $1,000;
• Spins — short games for three players, the amount of reward in which is determined randomly. You can enter with 0.25$, 1$, 3$…20$…50$…500$. In most cases, the prize for first place is twice the amount of entry, but sometimes with only few dollars you can compete for a reward of several hundred or even thousands of dollars;
• Shortdeck — cash games played with a deck of 36 cards, where cards of 2 to 5 are excluded. They are more dynamic, exciting and unpredictable. Buy-ins from $2 to $1,000;
• Fast Forward is a high-speed cash game in which the player constantly moves between tables after each card drop, i.e. not tied to one table. You can play in this mode both unlimited Hold’em or Omaha.

For every $1 commission paid, a player gets 1 point. Upon reaching a particular number of points, player gets a cashback every Monday, its depends on the number of points accumulated::

Payouts are calculated based on the last level reached, the remaining points are no longer available. For example, with 235 points a player gets $50 for 200 points, 35 points will be forfeit.

The design of poker room’s menu is implemented in nice gray-white colors. At the top of the screen the buttons are located to choose between sections: «Poker», «Casino», «Sports», «Promotions». For convenient sorting of tables and tournaments a filter is designed, allowing you to set the category and format of the game, range of buy-ins, game speed, currency, start time and other parameters.

As for the poker tables, the player can choose its style, type of deck and cards back.

Using HUD and statistics is not allowed. The Room is currently developing its own tools to collect and analyse statistics for players.

In addition to the PC version, the Room offers users a mobile app, to play from Android or iOS devices. The downloading and installing of the Android app is as follows:

• Allow installation of programs from unknown sources in device security settings.
• Find app download link on poker room website;
• Click on the link to start the download process
• Wait until download is completed and install file as usual.

Please be aware! Unlike most other mobile apps, PartyPoker app is not in Play Store, as the store policy prohibits distribution of gambling software.

For Apple devices, it is freely available in the AppStore. To find it, enter the request in the search bar of the store and then follow the link, download and install.

The interface of the mobile app is simple and intuitive. After installation, you should log in and visit the lobby, where you can choose from available modes. The list of tournaments, where the user is registered, can be found in «My tournaments». The number of online players is shown in the bottom left corner of the screen. At the top right corner you can see the balance of your account.

The mobile app allows players to open up to 4 tables at a time. Each table is a one oval icon at the bottom of the screen.

To select a cash game, visit the respective section and see the list of available options. There you can also see how many users play at each of the tables.

Game search is implemented well here. Thanks to well-designed filters, you can sort tables by stakes, selected types and number of players.
